Welcome to our second post for The Royal Treatment (Princess for Hire book 2) blog tour! Today we are excited to brig you a character interview! We had the pleasure of interviewing Desi for our post! Here is our interview...
LBO - Desi - you have found yourself in some pretty interesting situations when you've subbed for previous princesses, Is there any particular situation you would find yourself in that would be a deal breaker? One that would make you say, "oh no way, nuh uh.?"
Desi - You mean like dancing naked in front of Amazon villagers? Or, I don't know, having a princess threaten to never return? Ha. I have a million deal breakers, and they're already been broken. I've done things I wouldn't have imagined I could do, and learned to go with the flow. But I'd for sure quit if I had to break the law, like serious laws. I'm not going to assisinate a king, or, I don't know, steal the crown jewels.
LBO - Who is your favorite Disney princess, and why? Which disney fairytale would you have loved to step in and sub for?
Desi - I like Tiana from the princess and the frog because the prince falls for her when she's an entirely different species. Makes me believe there's hope that a guy could like me for the inside, not my (or another princess's!) outside.
LBO - Now that you've gotten to know more about Princesses and the lives they lead, what do you think is the biggest misconception people have about princesses?
Desi - It's easy. It's not. In fact, I'd have to guess a lot of princesses have it more difficult than your average teenage girl. When they have a problem, it plays out on a much bigger stage. Everyone is watching, and you can't always make your own decisions.
LBO - Would you want to be an agent some day like Meredith? And if so, what advice would you give your new charge based on your experiences so far?
Desi - Hmmm, maybe. I'm not sure how long I'm going to work for Facade, if I want it to be a lifetime gig. If I was an agent, I'd want to do it more Meredith-style than Lilith. I'd probably give more clear details, prepare the girl more before throwing them in to the royal lion's den. Subs deserve respect! We're what makes the agency possible.
LBO - If you could step into a Princesses life for good... not just as a sub.... would you be tempted to give up your life now for that of a princess?
Desi - You know what? No. No matter how awesome her life might be, I would miss my family and friends and the things that make me me. Maybe if you'd asked me that last year, I might have said yes, but after seeing what it's like, I can say it's not as glamourous as it seems.
LBO - We just have to ask.... Prince William or Prince Harry?
Desi - I always had a thing for The Other Brother, so Harry. Besides, William, obviously, is taken.
